Safe handling for raw feeders.
Raw meat requires the same food safety practices as any fresh protein in your kitchen. Follow these steps to keep your pet and your family safe.
- 1 Thaw in the refrigerator, not at room temperature.
- 2 Keep raw food separate from human food. Use dedicated bowls and utensils.
- 3 Wash hands, bowls, and surfaces with soap and hot water after handling.
- 4 Do not refreeze thawed product. Use within 3–4 days of thawing.
- 5 Feed in a contained area. Discard uneaten portions after 30 minutes.
